This thing is so useless it’s ridiculous. No map! Turn right on Unnamed street! I could probably find a better gps program on my kids Leap Pad. How this got approved to put in new vehicles is appallingly. Toyota wants you to buy the fully loaded vehicle with built in GPS or this is your punishment.

When I recently bought my 2017 RAV 4, the dealer convinced me not to get an upgraded navigation. ..... biggest mistake I made. Just two months I owned the car, I used this navigation app 3 times and will never use it again.... it took me to remote back roads which was so way off from the location I was supposed to go to. I decided to give it another try last night and totally gave it up because the areas it took me was so scary and remote. It was at 9:00pm and the navigation said that Ive reached my destination........but no church.....no rectory..... just an open field with nothing in the surroundings. Decided to use Google map on my phone to lead me home... This is where Toyota will get its downfall. Consumers shouldnt be fooled about this navigation. I hope that theres going to be a lawsuit against Toyota so we can get reimbursed for the disappointments we all have after buying the car from them with this awful, waste-of-money, piece of junk App they claimed to be very good and accurate.

Issue with iPhone 8/Bluetooth 5.0 and/or “2018 Toyota and Lexus app update” might have been resolved... I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it allowing “always” access to location... guess the app needs this setting to work without physically opening the app on your phone. I’ll see how it operates tomorrow. Moving map update on the 2018s needs to be made available to the 2016/17 models with a software update.

The September app update “for 2018 Toyota and Lexus vehicles” has ruined the ability for my iPhone 8 to link with the Scout Navigation on my 2017 Highlander Audio Plus. Thanks Toyota and Telenav for ruining even what little use there was for Scout.

Really dislike this! It wastes my battery while not showing me usable maps. Toyota-make them upgrade this to at least as usable as my phone. I mostly shut it off and use my phone since it is better!

This app is supposed to replace the navigation system on my Toyota. This comes nowhere close to being as good. I use to get is arrows we are before you get clear directions and visual of the roads that matched the highway signs with lanes clearly marked. Toyota really pulled a big bad one on this lame piece of junk. I would give it even less if I could.

Why? I hope this company goes out of business soon. I bought a new Lexus and this worthless app just ruins otherwise beautiful car. It doesn’t work. There’s no navigation map, just abysmal turn by turn directions. It sends me to work using the worst, longest routes. Toyota, please get rid of this garbage and allow us to just mirror Waze or any other fave Navi on car screen.

This app is not only useless, it’s insulting to Toyota and its dealers. How in the world can they countenance putting such a piece of —- in such a nice car as a Camry (I have a new one). Apple and Android have good apps for navigation but of course Carplay and Android Auto don’t work on Toyotas. Instead we are given something that doesn’t work, is useless, and seems to have been designed in the 1980’s.

What was Toyota thinking? This app is inconsistent, slow and more than half of the time it cannot connect to the GPS. I even changed out my audio system and got a new phone and it’s still horrible. I just want to get directions easily and accurately. Fix this!!!

I recently updated the app and now it takes longer time to connect/pair with my car. It gives me too much inconvenience especially when im in a hurry and i have to find a location. Im a visual person but i also like to hear the direction. It will be great to improve the app by including moving arrow in the map, giving a full map view like google map and waze, than only tells you how far it is and when i should turn. Gsp is the main reason why i upgraded my car when i purchased it. Ive paid a huge amount of money to get this feature but only be disappointed. It would be great to improve this app and fit for Toyota users. Ive been using this app for a month now and honestly im not liking it. Or maybe a big company like Toyota should invest in a better app (which their clients paid for) and not disappoints them...

Honestly, why even claim this is worthwhile. You would have an accident while trying to use this app.

This app is completely useless. Totally got scammed by toyota. Should have gotten the integrated navigation instead of the "connected" one. Utterly disappointed

App is underwhelming. So is Toyota Entune Plus with the crappy navigation. Bought a quality Garmin 100x better. Save your time and cash.

Doesn’t know addresses that have been around for 20+ years. Subpar and the only gps system that’s supported by my Toyota minivan. Ugh!

The GPS just does not work at all. I give up. Its a shame to even put this on a production car. This is not what I expect from a company known for quality and dependability.

I really wish I had done my homework before buying my my 2017 Camry. But, I took the salesman’s word & assumed this was a good product. It’s not. I can’t stress enough how bad it is. It continually loses the Bluetooth connection and I either have to do a hard reset on the phone or occasionally re-install the app. Every single time I get in my car I have no idea if the gps is even going to work. One of the world decisions I ever made & Toyota should be the subject of a class action lawsuit for outing this garbage in their cars.

Slow and confused. That about sums it up. Worse gps/maps I have used.

Like most of the other reviews, this app is awful. The turn by turn directions block half the screen and you cannot ‘elect’ to hide them. The directions have been wrong since day 1. Highway exit #s are not accurate. I’d be embarrassed if I was part of the development team, let alone the enhancement team! With all of these horrible reviews, why isn’t the app being overhauled and why does Toyota continue to include it in its cars? I’d give the app negative stars if it was possible to do!

I can not believe this Navigation App is so outdated. It has to be 20 years old and the information is so outdated. I have made numerous reports of issues with permanently closed businesses in my city and they are never taken off. Sad that Toyota cant offer their customers something better than this.
