Sometimes it does not. Sometimes I can’t get it to work at all. Sometimes it wants me to start my directions from home I am not home that doesn’t make any sense to me. Other times it works great I just wish it would do something and I wish I could put something else in its place that is in my phone that works great

Great idea but it’s actually terrible... i have to delete and re download every time i use it... not worth trouble... to many really good apps out there.

Don’t even waste your time installing it. Probably the worst app ever!!

Not user friendly at all!

Works horribly with entune in my 2018 Camry. Open app on my phone and it doesn’t come up in my car then randomly it does. Entune and scout gps are horrible. Something needs to be done to make it more user friendly. Touch one button and it should launch. Then I am told after 3 years we will have to pay for scout gps. You won’t get a dime from me. What a joke.

It loaded some of my contacts but not others. It says an address is Added to Favorites and then tells me I have no favorites. When you need it most, it says “Request cannot be completed. Try again later.” This lasts for hours. When it does work, It says destination is on the right when it’s on the left and vice versa. Much more I could say about how awful this app is. Toyota should be ashamed to put it in a car.

Scout GPS Link is just honestly a horrible app, especially for a 2018 Lexus luxury automobile. It has significant connectivity issues, and it may be more so an issue Toyota/Lexus/Xevo needs to address as they are major. The navigation prompts are given too late which can lead you to miss your turns or even accidents. And why do I need to connect (tether) my iPhone X to view the map? This app is apparently not free in the sense that we paid for the car which has this feature and as such, a reliable app is in order. Please fix it and at least provide us with the features of the original “Scout” app. This app has the potential to be a great app, but it needs fixing by TeleNav asap.

I have yet to get this to work when I actually need it. It works around town when I “experiment “ & get used to it, but when I go on a trip & need it, it doesn’t work. Honestly, if I’d have known before I bought the car I’d have to run the navigation through my phone & how terrible it works, I wouldn’t have bought the car. This system needs a LOT of work, in my opinion. I hate it.

It insists on telling me to make U-turns instead of recalculating the route based on my current location. It won’t allow changing a destination while I’m driving. It selects very obscure routes to destinations instead of the shortest route. It says destination is on the right when it’s on the left and vice versa. Very unintuitive.

Plain and simple, very annoying that it doesn’t work. Already went to dealership once.

Need Offline Maps (download a location / city map) use it saves internet data and improves mobile performance. Why I need to connect via USB to see the Map. I dont like turn by turn Why the app should on my mobile screen ?

Love my 2018 Toyota Hybrid Camry except is has no working nav system - currently Scout has a conflict with iOs 11 per Toyota customer service! My 2009 Prius had a great nav system. This Scout system is an absurd replacement and a reason not to buy the car. Even in the Prius, I used Google Maps for drxns and the nav system just to see the surrounding streets as I drove around areas where I don’t need drxns. Unbelievable that I have less nav functionality in a high end car 9 model years later.

Won’t connect to our Toyota Tundra 9 times out of 10. Sends us in toll roads when we set it not to. Won’t give you route options or let you make changes once you are in navigation mode.

Just doesn’t work.

Every time is not reliable. Incorrect navigation and now I am not trusting

When the app works it’s great. More often than not the app in my car does not recognize that the app is active on my phone so it does not work. I turn my phone off and on again as well as turning off the car and restarting it. Sometimes it works most of the time though it doesn’t. I hope they can fix the bugs because when the app works it’s fantastic.

The idea of this app is great but does not work well. And I see some of the paid reviews. It loses connection while having max service. Please fix the app. By the way app won’t be free forever

It’s a great navigation to help you get from point A to point B. Highly recommended! ??
