It’s horrible while using in Toyota! It doesn’t show the map! Frustrating!

Not happy!!

Just bought. 2018 XLE 6 cylinder and I’ve been back to the Lia dealer 4 times. Lia on central ave stinks they don’t care!!! Scout stinks and so does Lia Toyota in Schenectady!!!

Worst navigation

This is the worst app I have ever used. It always does not work. I can never count on it. Still trying to understand why Toyota and Lexus installing this stupid app in their cars.

Everyone complete a VOC @ your Toyota Dealership Service Department!!!!!!

Best advice I have been given is to go to a Toyota Dealership Service Department and ask to complete a VOC(Voice of customer) complaint. That will be sent directly to the manufacturing plant, who then has to up channel that to Toyota North America, and then things will change. I feel like an idiot! I am paying for my I-phone, the Cellphone bill and burning DATA and my time with this Scout GPS system. Toyota owes me money!!!!!!!!! I purchased a 2018 Toyota RAV 4 and was told the Scout GPS would work just at well or better than the integrated GPS system I had in my 2016 RAV 4. They lied!!! I have only been able to get it to work once. Have to delete and reload the APP constantly. This is the worse decision Toyota has ever made! So disgusted that I hate the car now! I have no confidence that this system will take me to My destination. My husband works at a Toyota manufacturing site and even he is embarrassed by this! I feel this system has just depreciated my vehicle. Guess I will just stick with Google Maps. I will not it be paying for this APP after 3 years and will probably trade the vehicle . Completely disgusted!!!!!!!

Junk

It is more reliable to use Google map as they are interface with Waze than it is to use this app. Road names and exits are incorrect especially around large metropolitan where there is major construction.

Horrible

I can’t believe the Toyota would choose this company to partner with. Our use navigation quite a bit for work and at this point I’m stuck using Waze. I sure hope either this company gets it together or Toyota makes a change. Will buy another Toyota if this is the navigation I’m stuck with

Horrible app. As good as Toyota is, it is hard to believe they cannot team up with something better than this piece of junk.

Scout GPS

It could be great, but the way it is right now it’s just junk. Map-junk Directions-junk Does not Stay connected to vehicle and it’s a pain. It’s like yeah today I won’t work maybe tomorrow. I mean it could be great with some features like a google map, accurate gps, better connectivity. All in all it’s a good idea with bad implementation. They need to fire who ever in in charge of the app ?

I thought it was me

I thought it was me and my computer illiteracy not being able to get this app to work. I can’t even enter my home address or my work address. But after reading all these reviews I can see I’m not the only one that is having issues

Do not buy a Toyota or Lexus that depends on this App

Was slow & clunky for the 2 weeks it worked after purchasing a 2018 Camry Hybrid XLE fully loaded. Then Scout GPS Link stopped linking through the USB connection to view full maps. It is still not working and there is no indication functionality will be restored anytime soon. Terrible app - if you drive & use full GPS regularly do not buy a car using this App - which means Toyota or Lexus.

Do not buy a Toyota or Lexus if you need GPS

Both Toyota & Lexus depend on this App for full map services except in limited highest end models. It is terrible, wastes your phone’s minutes, and as of a week ago Scout GPS Link no longer syncs successfully by USB to display full maps (although told by the dealership “they are working on it”). Slow & clunky. Toyota & Lexus ought to be ashamed - their reputation is reliability & this App is anything but. Scout GPS link ought to be ashamed. Terrible.

Terrible

I wish we never bought the 2018 Camry. I didn’t realize the navigation system in the car didn’t have a map in it. You have to connect your phone to have a map in the car which is unbelievable for the price of a new car. This is an unreliable navigation system through the Scout app. It doesn’t connect most of the time and gives incorrect driving information. This is very dangerous. Please fix the problem.

One star is too generous.

The only thing I dislike about my new 2018 Camry is the Entune system and this app. It’s worthless. Won’t stay connected. And every time I try to talk to customer service, on the phone or at my dealership, they know next to nothing about how to try to fix it. I’m about ready to delete the apps and pretend I don’t even have an infotainment system.

You need to fix this

If I spend upwards of 35k for a 2018 Camry I would expect that my 1k IPhone would have no problem connecting. If I would have known of this issue I wouldn’t have even looked at Toyota. Especially when I plug it directly to my phone. Fix and I will change my review. When it does finally work it’s great. But getting it too is the problem.

The worst app in 2017

This is honestly the worst app I have come across to. I dated 1 start, because there’s not an option for 0 starts. It never connects properly, never provides a reliable list of directions it’s just a nightmare.

Worse GPS ever!!!!!

The route doesn’t do the quickest and shortest. When I went out of town, it wouldn’t show the interstate route. Then when the Entune app updated and I plugged in the USB cable, it wouldn’t do the enhanced version for my XLE. Before I did the update, the enhanced version worked. All in all, I will not use it until they fix it. Don’t recommend this gps! The Maps and the settings need serious updates!!! I’d rather use my IPhone maps compares to this junk!

Wish I could switch to Waze!

Really hate this app. Layout is stupid. Always asks me to setup home and work. I already have!! Then it takes multiple tries to get the phone and app to connect. I want time of arrival. It doesnt matter how long the trip takes. I just need to know that I will make it to work on time!!!

It’s getting better

The entire app was very difficult to work and get set up. when I finally got it to work it didn’t work correctly. Since this last update it seems to be working better.

Useless

Kinda silly that I have to plug my phone in and have the app open in order to use the navigation. At that point I mine as well just use my phone for navigation to begin with. Plus the map is horrible. It’s so hard to read even in 3D

Terrible App, Just add CarPlay, Toyota!!!

This app has yet to work for me on my brand new 2018 Toyota Tundra. I dont understand why Toyota doesnt simply offer Apple CarPlay. It would be so much easier and future proof my vehicle instead of this terrible third party app.
