Terrible integration with Toyota

What was Toyota thinking choosing this as their GPS solution for their customers?

This app is seriously buggy. Most of the time, it never shows up on the display in my car like it is supposed to, even when I have the app open on my phone screen and connected to Bluetooth.

And even when it does show up occasionally, it will just drop the connection for no reason in the middle of a trip, even though all of the other apps and services continue to connect and communicate just fine. So the problem is clearly with this GPS app.

For the love of God Toyota, please give your customers CarPlay or android auto integration so that we can choose a GPS app that actually works.
